Gemma is an experienced HR Director, a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, and a regular speaker and writer on a variety of HR topics including employee engagement and social media.
Gemma has held a variety of HR roles including leading teams in employee relations, resourcing, service delivery, internal communications and business partnering. Many of her roles have involved transforming HR teams and developing effective HR solutions and policy. Gemma has an MA in Employment Law and Industrial Relations from Keele University and is also a mediator and coach.
Gemma describes her HR philosophy as being all “about doing good people stuff.”
Gemma is an award-winning blogger at www.hrgemblog.com, a regular conference blogger and also writes for the HR Director Magazine, Glassdoor and Good Day at Work. A qualified Personal Trainer, Gemma also writes a fitness blog and has published a book on weight loss.
Tim is an award-winning HR generalist and Chartered Fellow of the CIPD who helps organisations get the best from their people.
Tim has spent over 20 years in HR roles across a variety of sectors, successfully leading People and OD teams to work with senior management teams and Boards to transform our organisations’ people practices. He is also an experienced writer, blogger and speaker on work, social media and Human Resources. His aim is to help organisations find practical and real-world solutions to their people needs, providing pragmatic advice and support whilst retaining a focus on the “human” aspect of Human Resources.
Together, Gemma and Tim have co-written five books, including the popular ‘Putting Social Media to Work’ series and the BookBoon e-books ‘Human Resources, A Practical Guide’ and ‘HR2025: The Future of Work – People Management’.
